Chris Meiers, Washington State University Tri-Cities (WSU-TC) Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, was recently selected by the American Council on Education (ACE) to receive one of thirty-eight national fellowships. The fellowships are awarded annually to promising college and university administrators who are forward-thinking and have diverse experiences. Meiers will be placed at another higher education institution to observe and work with the president and other senior officers, attend decision-making meetings and focus on issues of interest. Eighty percent of past ACE fellows have gone on to serve as college and university presidents or senior academic officers.
Meiers is a graduate of Fort Hays State University in Kansas and has twenty years of administrative experience at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Fort Hays State University, and the University of Missouri – Kansas City. He joined WSU Tri-Cities as vice chancellor in 2014 and is a regional director of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.
