Under general supervision, the GEAR UP Office Assistant will perform a variety of complex clerical and administrative support duties in support of the GEAR UP Department.

Primary responsibilities include processing purchase requests; supporting administration staff with data entry; process incoming and outgoing mail; respond to inquiries regarding programs, services offered, and program activities; maintaining spreadsheets, databases and record keeping systems; and providing assistance with property inventory and event planning.

Significant knowledge of GEAR UP and University rules, policies and procedures will be required for completion of tasks and ability to provide information to clients. Position requires frequent contact with clients, the public, university staff, faculty and students.
